Building Safer Digital Spaces for Youth and Women
Digital spaces are now central to how people engage with information and advocate for human rights. At Elimika Wikiendi, we are committed to ensuring these spaces are safe, inclusive and empowering, particularly for women and youth who are disproportionately affected by digital violence.

Through this program, we strengthen digital literacy by equipping women and youth with the skills needed to navigate digital spaces safely and securely. This work contributes to broader national efforts to promote youth rights and advance gender equality by strengthening the capacity of communities and systems to recognize, prevent and respond to technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV). In doing so, we help build a more coordinated and responsive digital ecosystem that prioritizes the digital safety of women and youth and promotes accountability in digital spaces.
Our approach combines awareness raising, advocacy and capacity building to challenge harmful norms and promote positive online behavior. We create safe spaces for open dialogue and support collective action toward safer digital spaces.
Through this work, we support women to remain in digital spaces while nurturing a generation of informed netizens who champion digital rights and contribute to building safer digital spaces for all.
