Increasing youth participation in development agendas
Youth are central to creating inclusive societies and responsive governments. At Elimika Wikiendi, we work to ensure their voices are not only heard but meaningfully influence decision-making processes.

Through this program, we leverage technology to promote democracy and freedom of expression, particularly where civic space remains shrinking. We create safe and accessible platforms where youth engage in civic dialogue, understand their rights and responsibilities and contribute to national and cross-cutting development discussions.

Our approach amplifies youth voices and supports them to take informed action within their country. We facilitate the flow of youth feedback to duty bearers, promoting constructive engagement that ensure youth’s perspectives and opinions are integrated into policy decisions. In doing so, more youth are participating in public discourse, contributing to build accountability and good governance.

This work is contributing to a more participatory development landscape in the United Republic of Tanzania, one where youth are recognized as active drivers of change, not just beneficiaries.
